We are looking for a coordination manager for time and cost for an authority in Stockholm. This is a consulting assignment.
The position is full-time.
The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.
The Assignment
The authority's mission is to prepare and implement decisions regarding the direction and scope for a long-term sustainable public transport system. They are also responsible for the management and follow-up of traffic operations, as well as maintaining the functionality, safety, and value of the infrastructure. Every day, more than 700,000 people travel with public transport, including subway, buses, commuter trains, and local trains. Within the Sweden Negotiation, Framework Agreement 6, an agreement has been made for the expansion of the Roslagsbanan to the city, RBc. The project is financed by the state, the city of Stockholm, Täby municipality, Vallentuna municipality, Österåker municipality, and Region Stockholm. The Sweden Negotiation is based on a principle that the state, together with regions and municipalities, jointly finances infrastructure expansion, provided that the affected municipalities ensure that new housing and infrastructure for cycling are built.
The Roslagsbanan to the city includes a new railway section of approximately four kilometers in a tunnel from Universitet to T-Centralen via Odenplan. The section from Universitetet to Östra station will be decommissioned, and Östra station will be closed. The work is carried out in collaboration with the parties of the framework agreement.
The role of Coordination Manager for Time and Cost involves leading a group of people with various supporting competencies for the Roslagsbanan to the city project. The Coordination Manager for Time and Cost will need to take responsibility for the vacancies within the group. The group's responsibilities include leading the work on scheduling, production costs, risk, and business strategy. Currently, the group consists of two schedulers, a risk coordinator, and a cost estimator. The size of the group and the competencies involved may vary over time.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the group and its work.
- Coordinate the group's work with other groups and projects.
- Participate and sometimes be responsible for production planning and related strategies.
- Prepare materials for and participate in consultant procurements.
- Participate and sometimes lead relevant meetings.
- Develop and enhance strategies, processes, and working methods.
- Lead the work on the project's business and procurement strategy for consulting and contracting procurements.
- Coordinate cost estimation work.
- Plan uncertainty analyses according to the progressive principle.
- Evaluate uncertainties and risks.
- Package and report results and analyses.
Requirements (IMPORTANT, mandatory)
At least 10 years of work in a leading position, including leading groups of at least five people. At least 5 years of work in a leading position (e.g., site manager or supervisor) in construction, building, or infrastructure during the production phase. At least 10 years of work experience in operations or projects within the infrastructure or rail vehicle sector (client, consultant, or contractor). At least 5 years of cumulative experience, equivalent to full-time, in a client organization with tasks in at least three of the following areas: procurement strategy, production planning, scheduling, risk management, or cost estimation. Experience in planning and conducting at least two uncertainty analyses according to the progressive principle. At least 5 years of experience leading procurements within LUF/LOU, with at least 2 projects with a total value of at least 500 million SEK. The experience should be of such a nature that it includes leading or actively participating in the procurement, either from a client or a bidder perspective.
Meritorious
At least 5 years of experience working within a public client organization. At least 5 years of experience in project work with rail-bound public transport or tunnels in urban environments. At least 5 years of experience working with final cost forecasts including production costs, client, uncertainties, and risks, using various methods (e.g., progressive analysis, base calculations, templates).
